Fort View Inn in Ticonderoga

Way better than I would have thought. Salads were fresh and all dishes are nicely flavored. The veggie quesadillas are a meal and one of the best I've tasted. Reasonably priced. Enjoy the view if the CP trains are out of the way.

Really a great find. Super tasty home cooked food with unique and tasty wings and wonderful desserts! Very cute place with a nice view of the lake. We had a great lunch with appetizers and desserts with 4 people for $72 total after tip. Make sure to note that they don’t take cards!

Beautiful restaurant with that old world charm. Good prices with lots of yummie selections.

Good food and great views. Only one person working since it was off season but she called in help when several families showed up.

Wish we could rate better as service was friendly... but service was very slow, food was poorly put together and just not appealing or good overall. The back room is dark and has little to no view, request a front table if making reservations. Cash only.

The food is delicious! I highly recommend the chicken wings and the French onion soup. Our waitress was a doll, too! Bon appetit!

The owner was very rude service took 45 mins before we were even asked if we wanted drinks, then our onion soup was so salty very salty an my steak was microwaved an was over cooked not medium rare I absolutely hated the food then the owner proceeded to touch my food an argue that the steak was medium rare I asked if I could have a burger instead an she immediately served me my check an forced me to pay for food I didn't even eat.

A quaint little restaurant with a large welcoming feel. I was immediately greeted by Kathy, whom didn't miss a beat in attending to me. More so, the food was simply AMAZING. It had a delectable visual appeal and the FLAVORS! were sevenfold. A sweet and spicy sauce drizzled over a layer of fresh shrimp and even fresher chopped vegetables all sitting atop a bed of wholesome tasting jasmin rice. Simply some of the best food I've tasted in awhile. I willl return!

Very good food reasonably priced

You always get a good meal. Best blue cheese dressing and carrot cake ever.

We both had the ribs...me with the rice, him with potatoes and both had spinach and salad. The lettuce in my salad was rusty but the ribs were very good. A bit too much bbq sauce but just scraped some of the extra off. Had to ask for the bread that came with the meal. Our waitress was nice and checked to make sure we were all set.

Love stopping at the Fort View....great food, great conversation with Cathy and the best Cheese Cake in the Northeast...same for the wings..

Older atmosphere and a beat building, but great views and solid bar food. No ATM and no cards accepted is slightly annoying.

View was nice, food tasty and plentiful, prices reasonable. But bring cash...they do not take credit or debit cards.

Great home made meals. Specials are creative and delicious. The desserts are home made and absolutely wonderful! The staff is friendly and make you feel like your right at home.

Excellent food and service.

Highly upset with the service and attitude of the owner who was waitressing. It took her over an hour to come take our order and there was only 2 other tables when we got there. When we did order and received our food the food had her hair in it. When we asked for something else she grabbed my fork and knife and started cutting up and touching my food and being rude. We told her we wpuld just get something else and she just gave us a check and said get out. She still charged us for the hairy gray steak even though it was never touched.

I work here so I love it!

A great family owned road side diner style restaurant with much more than you'd expect. There's a small bar if you want a drink, several inventive sandwiches on the menu and some great desserts. I got the Burgoyne which was a toasted sandwich of sliced turkey and sauerkraut with Russian dressing. Delicious and messy! And yes, you can see the fort while you eat.

I am the chef at the Fortview inn ,where we are known for our unique wings and specialty sandwiches . Daily specials and soup of the day! Don't forget we also do in house catering for big parties and special events ! All salads are made fresh as are all the meals . We have a great wine selection and a high end bar with the owner bartending . And soon to come draft beers! So please stop inn and enjoy the view.

Their clams are to die for. Haven't had a bad meal or experience yet! Just wish their beer was colder.

Best hot wings in the area

Been here before and had excellent food, went last Friday 2/1/19 and was very displeased. My meal was $100 which is not what concerns me it was the quality and quantity of the food for $100. I got fetuchini Alfredo with Shrimp and there was hardly any pasta just a ton of sauce, my wife got a Chicken Fajita which was basically an over priced wrap because all that was in it was a ton of lettuce. The server was great.

My husband and I eat here frequently. The homemade soups and desserts are delicious. The entree portions are huge -- enough for two meals. Great staff and a chef who will take special requests.

Was in Ticonderoga for a fishing trip recently and was looking for a good pub to grab some wings and a pint. The staff at the hotel recommended Fort View Inn. We set off and were greeted by the owner, a very friendly lady. Ordered wings and jalapeno poppers. Expected standard pub fare - was blown away. The poppers had full halves of the peppers inside of them, not small blended up pieces, were deep fried very crispy and were delicious. The wings were spectacular. The garlic parmesan and the medium wings are all made with fresh, made in house sauce. Big serving sizes for the money. Would absolutely go back if in the area again.

We have eaten at the Fort View Inn since Kathy had owned it, never a bad experience.We love it.

Stopped in for lunch over the weekend. Small cozy dining area with a great view. Food was excellent. But the real winner here was the homemade cheese cake. Hands down one of the best I have ever had. We will definitely stop again when we are in the area.

Outside of the floor leaning like crazy, there's good simple food, great waitress and inexpensive
